Safety Procedures During COVID-19
As of June 21, 2020
-
Childcare will be offered for 2 month – 4 year old children during both the 8:15am and 10:30am Worship Services. LifeGroup will also be available for 2 month – 5th grade at 9:30am.
-
A parent or guardian over the age of 18 MUST check their child in at the Check In Kiosks located at the entrance to the Preschool and Children’s Hallway. The parent/guardian MUST present the parent portion of the check in sticker to their child’s teacher at check out. If the parent/guardian misplaces the sticker, he or she must come back to the Check In Kiosks and see Anna Sherman, our Preschool and Children’s Minister.
-
Before checking in a child, a parent/guardian MUST sign an “Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating Coronavirus/COVID-19” form that simply states that the parent/guardian will not hold Grace Crossing liable for any illness their child may contract at any point. Staff, Childcare Workers, volunteers, and LifeGroup leaders MUST sign this form as well.
-
Upon check in, Staff will temperature check each child using a No Touch Forehead Thermometer, which will be sanitized after each use, before the child is allowed to enter a classroom. Any child with even a low grade temperature will be sent home immediately. Also, we ask that if a child is displaying any symptoms of illness for parents to stay home with him or her.
-
All Staff, Childcare Workers, volunteers, and LifeGroup leaders will be temperature checked each morning using a No Touch Forehead Thermometer before being allowed to enter any of the classrooms. Any worker with even a low grade temperature will be sent home immediately. Also, any worker displaying any symptoms of illness will be instructed to stay home.
-
Before entering the Preschool and Children’s Hallway, we ask that parents and children utilize the sanitation station set up at the entrance to the hallway.
-
We kindly ask that parents do not enter the classrooms. Children are to be dropped off and picked up at the door.
-
Between each Worship Service/LifeGroup hour, the classrooms will be sanitized and wiped down thoroughly. This will include changing any linens used. The next group of children will not be allowed to enter the classroom until sanitation is complete.
-
Childcare Workers and Staff will be taking extra precautions to insure cleanliness in the classroom including but not limited to hand sanitizing themselves and the children multiple times throughout the morning.
-
No food or drinks will be allowed in any of the K5 – 5th grade classrooms. 2 month – 4 year olds can bring a prepackaged snack from home and drink. We ask that all snacks and sippi cups be clearly labeled with the child’s name so that there is no confusion. They will only be allowed to have these snacks/cups/drinks during an allotted snack time. They will not be allowed to carry them around the room with them while playing. We ask that parents please hand these snacks/cups/drinks to the worker upon drop off.
